How it came to pass…
I have seen many days in my life. I enjoyed writing the stories of many lives and many different events in the world of Neverlands.
However, in the very early days, during Neverlands creation, many things happened that nobody except I can recall. In the early days of Neverlands, people resided much like do during this time. Merchants collect their goods by their specialty. Warriors battle the forces of Neverlands. Mages fight along side the great warriors. However, nobody had a sense of evil inside of them. They all worked towards the same cause. They wanted to free the world of Neverlands of its unnatural forces and build cities. The unnatural forces that they had in those days were called Chaos. Chaos resided everywhere. It was east and west, north and south. Wherever you went, there was at least some Chaos. Monsters spawned from the Chaos. More from the parts with more Chaos, and less from the parts with less Chaos. Together, warriors and mages fought valiant battles against Chaos, gradually gaining ground on the ongoing war. They invaded the shrines of Chaos, where the sense of Chaos was the most and battled the spawns of Chaos.
Chaos was in clear control of Neverlands, but humans knew that they could claim the land and settle it as their own. New breeds of monsters arrived to help the forces of Chaos. Those humans that fell to the armies were resurrected and cruelly perverted to the Chaotic ways. I went along on one journey to wipe out Chaos and I recorded what I saw.
“We were travelling on the Great Plain of Neverlands, where many settlers have decided to farm. A group of twelve, we were. Six knights, four mages, a cleric, and myself. Feeling confident, we approached a shrine of Chaos that we had recently located. We were sent by Lord Hiroph, one of the organizers of the human band in Neverlands. Midas, who was reknowned as a great warrior in Neverlands, was in charge. He led everybody to the shrine and yelled a war cry. Our group faced a large amount of Skeletons, Drakes, Fire Elementals, and Daemons. I knew I would not be seeing at least one of these brave fighters again. Alas, Midas fell at the front of everyone. He had been ripped apart Daemon. He clutched his many claw wounds and collapsed to the rotten ground. His skin then sunk into his bones, just like others who have died by Chaos. We won the battle, but we still lost Midas”
We never saw Midas again, after that wicked battle. Some of us expected to see his afterlife soon, and battle him to let his soul rest, but we believed it would be a tough battle. In ways, we were thankful.
Chaos usually stays still. It does not move around, and stays near nodes where Chaos is emitted. But, that was true, until a certain point of time. Researchers have concluded that Chaos rapidly develops different qualities, because they were changing their ways, and often, became stronger. Chaos began to invade our farmlands. Food became a rare commodity, as it was being razed by Chaos. People began to starve. The tables sharply turned and Chaos was winning the war. Lord Hiroph was deeply discouraged, and he soon took his life from the grief of his people. Humanity’s future looked dim on Neverlands. Hungry and leaderless, they forced themselves to continue to fight Chaos together. New heroes began to emerge from the human race. Leaders, warriors, and mages with different valueable qualities to the survival of humans appeared.
Lord Harcourt, Lady Keller, and Lady Trulinjer ruled and goverened the land and kept everybody in order. Sir Geoff, Sir Xavier, and Sir Pollintine fought the ground wars. Mystic Deviant, Mystic Dyne, and the High Mystic Locke fought alongside the knights. Hope grew brighter, and battles were won. Chaos was being pushed back from the Great Neverlands Plains. Soon, cities were built, starting with the Royal City of Britian, and expanding to the Port Town of Vesper. Small towns like Cove and Minoc sprung up. Minoc became a large mining town in Neverlands, and flourished. The war was almost won, but Chaos got one last chance at survival.
The Council of Nine was made up of the heroes of Neverlands. A meeting of the Council of Nine took place one day, the day when Chaos got the last chance. The three most powerful Lords, Warriors, and Mages came together and discussed their plans of action. This meeting went terribly wrong. Chaos had found a crack of hatred and confusion and seeped through. Mages got mad at the Warriors over a silly remark by Sir Geoff. Monsters emerged from the shadows. No one had a chance at survival inside of the small hall. The Greatest Lords and Ladies of the land lay with their skin sinking into their bones. This caused greated outrage in the city of Britian. The new ruler, Colt, emerged from the cloud of Chaos and finished the war against Chaos. However, no one ever saw a trace of the Great Nine in their afterlives. The world had almost been completely cleansed of Chaos, but the current leaders feared that they still had some foes to face.
Neverlands developed natural functions, which became known as Gaia. Non-Chaotic monsters appeared because of Gaia. Traces of Chaos still exist. But it is hard to determine something from Chaotic to Gaiaic.
